How much does it cost?
If you're new, we have a 7 day free trial. If you're old, we have plans as little as $15 for a 1 week unlimited video downloads. If you need longer we also have a 1 month plan for $40 and a 2 month plan for $60.
None of that nasty recurring billing either.
Why do I have to sign up for a plan? Can't I just buy one video?
In our experience we've found that one video is never enough. Here's what's going to happen. Once you get your shiny new video. You're going to watch it a lot! You're also going to share it with some of your friends and then you're going to start thinking of other things you could have said. Soon you'll be back making another video, this one even better than the first. This might happen a few times.
We also recommend that you tailor your videopitch to each job you apply for. What you focus on for one application may not be the same for another. You have many skills!
The key to a powerful videopitch is highlighting the skills each employer is looking for. You're selling them a solution and it's up to you to connect the dots, because you're the only person that knows what you can bring to the job.
Can I make my video on my phone?
Nope. Sorry. (sad face) We are having some trouble making it compatible with mobile devices. We will work out the bugs, but until we do you will need to use your desktop, laptop, tablet or ipad.
Is a videopitch a video resume?
No. It's more like a cover letter. It's a great way to introduce yourself when you're not in the room. The traditional resume is an important piece of the recruitment process and shouldn't be removed. Employers and recruiters will still want to see your resume once you've managed to start the conversation. A videopitch gives you the best chance of doing just that.
Why should I use a videopitch?
Let's face it, words are boring. If you're trying to stand out in a competitive space you need to think outside the box. A videopitch is a multi-sensory experience that's easy to watch and a powerful way to connect with your target audience on an emotional level.
If they like your video they are far more likely to dig a bit deeper and learn more. This sort of emotional connection is incredibly hard to achieve through text alone.
What should I do with it?
There are so many ways to use a videopitch. Here are just a few:
An innovative replacement or addition to the traditional cover letter.
An eye catching addition to your resume or CV.
A powerful introduction in your LinkedIn profile, which is easily shared for referrals.
A conversation starter in an e-mail.
A creative and engaging way to introduce yourself on your website or in a business proposal.
A clever way to leverage the power of your network by letting them know what you do or what you're looking for. You never know what doors your friends can open for you.
What do employers think?
We've tested these videos on many employers and all have said,
"They would definitely want to meet the candidate if they were sent this style of video, because they did something different to draw attention to themselves, and the video itself displayed confidence, passion and ingenuity."
What if I already have a job?
Given that 80% of jobs don't get advertised, it's in your best interest to ensure your professional profile is set to impress. You may not be looking for a change, but someone might be looking for you, and it might be an opportunity you don't want to miss.
What if I want to add my own music?
For each video style we offer 2 music options and one without music, so you can add your own. Just make sure you don't breach any copy right laws. Jail also sucks monkey balls.
What parts of the video can I customise?
Using the Let's Talk video as an example, we've marked each customisable section. Each video style is unique, some have sections where you can upload live video footage, others are mostly text based, but as you can see here the customisable sections are very easy to identify.
Do you store my information?
We understand your privacy is important and we've gone to great lengths to ensure your information stays private. Our video production process works in a non-storage form, meaning the data you provide in the customisation of your video is processed in the generation of your video only. Once the process is complete and your video is generated the data is deleted from the memory. There is no data stored on file. We have no access to your data or video, nor is it saved into a database or disk.
This also means we cannot access your video after you have generated it. If you lose the file we will not be able to recover it.
What if I don't know what to write in my pitch?
The hardest part of making your video will be coming up with the perfect words. It's a bit tricky trying to string together the perfect words that say everything. The key is, try not to say everything. Focus on your passion and the problems you'd like to solve. Consider who your audience is. What are their problems and how can you articulate your pitch in a way that get's them to say, "That's exactly what I'm looking for!"
In my pitch I say, "I am passionate about helping people stand out and make a lasting impression through amazing animation videos." I focused on the problem people are having, which is standing out in such a noisy world and extremely competitive job market. I also focused on my passion, which is something people look for. If you're passionate about something it means that you really care. Had I left out the passion it would just be, I help people stand out. This statement has a much different feel to it. It gives a sense of duty not care.
